R100 Meals

Dear Friends and Supporters: When you hear the Advertisement on the TV that Woolworths is organizing meals for families for less than a R100 it sounds sometimes unbelievable. Now just think that a R100 can get a child to camp who would not otherwise have this opportunity to have like 7 healthy meals for a weekend, now that is unbelievable! Not just that they will have a ride to the campsite in Bainskloof and spend 3 glorious days learning about the significance of water and the spiritual connection to God purifying our lives and making us clean from things separating us from God. Scripture Union is an Organisation which prides itself in creating spaces for children and teens to experience what it means to have an fun and realistic relationship with God. We portray Christ in a real kind of way through the relationships we build with them. We have been doing schools ministry with these Grade 6 learners in schools around the Factreton and Kensington areas. For ten weeks we explored issues of self, family and the community. We have had a holiday club in the community reaching them during the June and July holidays with the Gospel through songs, games, crafts etc So we are looking to send 80 kids to camp and are looking for people to partner with us to make this happen.
